The Space

Ocean Palms Villa is a stunning modern styled detached, two storey villa in the lovely port and marina resort of Addaia, on Menorca’s dramatic north coast.  Set in a quiet cul-de-sac,  the spacious, light and airy accommodation offers five bedrooms – four with king-size beds and one bedroom with two single beds in each, providing standard occupancy for 10 people, and benefit from an 8x4m infinity swimming pool with jacuzzi.  The villa is accessed either through the entrance door to the top storey or from the rear of the villa through a private gate leading up a driveway with space for 3 cars.  From the top storey entrance, you are welcomed into a spacious entrance hallway with 3 double bedrooms, all en-suite, and all 3 lead out to a large sunbathing terrace area with beautiful views of both the sea and port.  A wide staircase leads you down to the ground floor and comprises of 2 more double bedrooms with en-suites and also a master bathroom with shower.  Also on this floor is a stunning large living room which creates a harmonious living space. The lounge is tastefully furnished lounge and separate dining area, with Comfortable sofas, chairs & “smart” TV with IPTV system, providing access to dozens of terrestrial and cable channels including all UK subscription and free-to-air, Movies and sports channels, and a huge “on Demand” library of thousands of films, box-sets, music etc;  there is also high-speed fibre-optic Wifi for use of guests. The separate dining area has table and chairs for 8.  To the rear of the lounge is the kitchen, equipped with fridge-freezer, gas cooker, electric oven, dishwasher a range of fitted base & wall cupboards, and is fully equipped with all the crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, glasses, utensils etc for the family self-catering holiday. There is a separate utility room next to the kitchen with washing machine and sink. 

Terrace doors from both the kitchen and lounge have direct access to the outside dining area and huge terrace with steps leading down to the infinity swimming pool, jacuzzi and a private sunbathing area.  The attractive spacious exterior area boasts ample sun-bathing terraces which surround the swimming pool, and immediately overlook the picturesque Port of Addaia, a wonderful vista to wake up to!  The exterior areas also include a constructed BBQ and a useful and charming exterior casita with running water and cooking facilities.

The villa is within a couple of minutes stroll from bars, restaurants including a tapas bar/restaurant down on the harbour overlooking the water, souvenir shop and a supermarket.  A similar very short stroll to access to the famous and iconic Cami de Cavalls, the ancient but restored bridle path that encircles virtually all of Menorca’s coastlines and which also passes through Menorca’s huge UNESCO designated Biosphere natural park, and the beautiful beachside village of Es Grau, an unspoilt traditional Menorcan fishing village.  This is a walkers, hikers and nature lovers paradise!  Directly in front of the villa is Addaia’s picturesque marina, home to many impressive yachts and motor cruisers.  Addaia is ideally located, being less than a 5 minute drive to the wonderful beaches of Arenal den Castell, Na Macaret & Son Saura.  7-8 minutes drive will take you to the beach of Playa de Fornells and its historic and beautiful small town, marina and port, which provides a host of fine dining opportunities, bars, shops selling a wide range of artesian products. Journey time by car to Mahon and the airport approximately 25 minutes and the same for Cuitadella, Menorca’s imposing former capital, dominating it’s west coast and many natural beaches and coves.  Pool towels as well as hairdryers are included in the price.

 

Location

Port Addaia in Menorca is a sheltered fishing and sailing port on the north east of the island. The large natural harbour inlet is surrounded by rugged farmland whilst the old tower of Torre d’Addaia dominates the entrance to the beautiful estuary where you can dive and fish. The whole area is renowned for its beauty, beaches, scuba diving and bird watching with many country walks and cycling trails clearly signposted. Over the last few years Addaia has become an attractive area of quality residential properties built around a smart marina, home to private yachts and boats. One of the best sailing schools in the Mediterranean is in Fornells, just 15 minutes from Addaia.  A scenic coastal footpath wends its way around Addaia with spectacular views out to sea and over to nearby Macaret. For those who like a little more life, the busier resort of Arenal d’en Castell is approximately 5 minutes by car, with its 650m of sandy beach where you will find bars and restaurants. If you like seafood, a trip to Fornells is a must!

As from 1st July 2016 the Balearic Government imposed a Tourism Eco Tax of 2.20€ (VAT included) for the first 8 nights stay per person per night. From the ninth night of the stay onwards, the amount is reduced to 1.10€ (VAT included) per person per night.  The tax applies to all guests over the age of 16 and is payable on arrival at the property managers check-in reception in office.
